FocusPod / South Africa
Office pod installation and building access
Plan how your indoor office pod will reach its final position and be assembled there. Check the unloading point, handling route, doors, lifts and building requirements before ordering. Installation availability and scope are confirmed for your address; your project quote sets out which services are included.
Walk the route inside
Measure the loading area, doors, corridors, turns and goods lift as well as the final room. Record lift dimensions and load limits, stairs, access bookings and building-management requirements. Photos and a floor plan help us understand the site.

Watch video11 secondsMake room around the pod
Review floor suitability and loading, door swing, assembly space, ventilation, servicing access and power. Product dimensions describe the pod itself, not every clearance around it. Have your facilities team review the intended position before approval. Every FocusPod has built-in wheels and adjustable levelling feet. Raise the feet to move the pod on its wheels, then lower and adjust them to level the pod in its new position.
Choose the right installation arrangement
Request installation with your project, or tell us that you plan to appoint your own contractor. Coverage, scheduling, handling and the precise scope are confirmed for the address. The configurator's installation amount is a planning allowance until that site-specific review is complete.
Power and optional cooling
The supplied pod uses South Africa-specification plugs and power outlets. The final electrical schedule covers the pod and selected equipment. Optional cooling adds 350 mm to the base height and changes the electrical requirements. Building electrical work needs an appropriately qualified professional.
Access and receiving arrangements
Include the province, postal code, receiving contact and site-access requirements. Estate or office-park access, restricted receiving times and locations requiring special handling are reviewed before the delivery plan is agreed.
Ready for the workday
Check the agreed furniture and extras, door operation, lighting, ventilation and controls with your installer. Retain the final specification and assembly information. Report missing items or anything that does not work as expected before completing the handover.
Fire safety & building requirements
Sprinkler and fire-alarm options are available. We help you confirm the details for your pod and workplace.
Can you include sprinklers and fire alarms?
Yes. Choose the optional sprinkler and fire-alarm combo in the configurator. It is priced per pod and included in your configuration total when selected. Your building manager may request it as part of approving the pod for your space; the equipment, building-system connections and installation scope are confirmed for your site.
What should I know about fire ratings?
Fire information is specific to the model and materials. A material fire classification does not establish a fire-resistance rating for the complete pod. Ask us to confirm the relevant test documentation for your chosen model and finishes.
An acoustic “Class A” rating describes sound reduction, not fire performance.
What should we check before ordering?
Start with your building manager: they may have requirements for introducing a pod into your workplace. Share those requirements and your installation address with us so we can confirm the appropriate equipment and connections with your building team. Local fire requirements still apply; the package is not a blanket requirement for every pod.
