What is covered, and for how long
- Structural, 5 years: the aluminum frame and the structural integrity of the wall and roof panel assembly.
- Electrical, 5 years: fans, lighting, control board, dimmer panel, presence sensor, power adapter, socket outlets, USB charging and internal wiring.
- Glass: inspected and signed off at handover. Any damage or defect identified at handover is fixed by us.
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in line with our instructions.
When it starts and who it covers
The warranty period starts on the date our team completes installation or, if you install the pod yourself, on the date of delivery. It covers the original purchaser and continues for any later owner in South Africa, provided we are told of the transfer. Parts repaired or replaced under the warranty are covered for the rest of the original period.
What is not covered
- Normal wear, such as marks, scratches or fading of surfaces, fabric, felt and carpet.
- Loose furniture and accessories, which are covered by your legal rights.
- Damage from misuse, impact, accidents, unauthorized modification or dismantling, or relocation not carried out in line with our instructions.
- Faults caused by installation not in line with our instructions, unless our team installed the pod.
- Damage from abnormal supply voltage or power surges, water, fire, flood or other natural events, or use outdoors or in damp or unconditioned spaces.
- Faults caused by non-original parts or accessories, or by cleaning methods contrary to our care guide.
- Units whose electrical system has been altered outside our specification, or whose safety labels have been removed.
- Pods moved outside South Africa.
What we will do
If a covered defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the defective part, or replace the pod, at our choice. If we cannot do that within a reasonable time, we will refund the price of the affected part or pod. We supply replacement parts free of charge, including delivery. Where a part cannot reasonably be fitted by you with our guidance, we arrange a technician at no cost to you. Please give us access during normal business hours; if special access arrangements are needed, such as out-of-hours work, we will agree them with you in advance.
How to make a claim
Email sales@focuspod.co.za as soon as you notice the problem, within the warranty period, with your order number, model, installation address, a description of the issue, when it started, and photos or a short video. We reply within 2 business days with the next step.
If the issue could affect electrical safety, stop using the pod’s power and lighting until it has been assessed. Please do not arrange repairs yourself without our written approval, as we cannot reimburse work we have not approved. We are not responsible for further damage caused by a delay in telling us. If we find no defect, or the issue is not covered, we will tell you before any chargeable work is done, and nothing is charged unless you agree to it.
Parts we replace become our property.
Your legal rights
This warranty is in addition to the implied warranty of quality under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act where it applies, and does not affect it.
