Five questions to put to both of us
Ask us and ask Karo. Where we have an answer, it is below. Where they do, take it from them directly rather than from us, because specifications and prices move and a rival's summary of them is worth very little.
1. What is the speech level reduction under ISO 23351-1, for the exact model quoted? One number, one named standard, on the assembled pod rather than a wall panel. Ours is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB. Ask for the report, from both of us.
2. What is the delivered and installed total for my address? Pod, furniture, delivery, installation and tax, as one figure. Ours starts from published prices you can read on this site before you speak to anyone.
3. What does the warranty cover, for how long, and who pays labour and transport on a claim? Ours is five years structural and electrical, with terms supplied alongside the quotation.
4. What is the real lead time to my building? Ours is around four weeks from a confirmed order, with delivery and installation scheduled on top, confirmed in writing for your address.
5. What is included as standard rather than extra? Ventilation, lighting, power and an occupancy light are standard on every FocusPod, with black or white exterior and the standard interior palette at no extra charge.
What Karo is known for
The most established and most visible pod seller in South Africa, best known for the Telebooth range, and one of the few local suppliers that publishes any pricing at all.
Karo have been doing this in South Africa longer than anyone and have a large local installed base. If your procurement process rewards local track record and a long reference list above everything else, that is a real advantage and worth weighing.

Prices are for the pod in the configuration you choose. Finishes, furniture and compatible extras are listed separately as you build. Delivery, destination costs and any applicable tax are confirmed on your written quotation, so the total you approve is the total you pay.

What is included as standard
Every FocusPod arrives with laminated glass front and rear, layered acoustic insulation, adjustable ventilation, dimmable LED lighting with adjustable colour temperature, power and an occupancy light. Speech level reduction is laboratory tested at greater than 29 dB under ISO 23351-1, the international standard written specifically for pods. Every pod is covered by our five-year structural and electrical warranty.
There is no separate charge for the black or white exterior or for the standard interior palette. Other exterior colours use the displayed upgrade price, and a custom interior colour is priced per pod. All of it is listed separately as you build, so nothing arrives as a surprise on the quotation.

Common questions
Is Karo a good supplier?
They are a serious business with a real presence in this market, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Work through the five questions above with both of us and you will have a much better answer than either of us can give you about the other.
Why do your prices look different?
We sell direct and publish our prices, which removes a dealer margin and a negotiation. What matters is the delivered and installed total for your address, so compare that rather than the headline figure.
How do I compare two decibel figures?
Only if they come from the same standard, measured the same way. ISO 23351-1 is the one written for pods and tests the assembled product with its door, seals and ventilation. A wall panel rating is not comparable and should not be treated as if it were.
Can I see a FocusPod before I order?
Yes. Turn any model around in the 3D configurator, watch the product films, and we will do a live video walkthrough of the pod you are considering and answer questions as we go. Send us the room dimensions beforehand and we will talk through how it fits.
Are the front and rear both glass?
Yes. Every FocusPod has glass at both the front and rear. Standard glass is clear. Optional PDLC privacy glass can be selected for the front only or for both the front and rear.
Can I move the pod once it is installed?
Yes. Every FocusPod has built-in wheels and adjustable levelling feet. Raise the feet to move the pod on its wheels, then lower and adjust them to level the pod in its new position.
What happens after I order?
We confirm the configuration, the delivery and installation scope and the complete price in writing. Nothing is payable until you approve it. Indicative lead time is around four weeks from a confirmed order.
